A host of LED luminaires have transformed Severn Trent Water’s engineering waste workshops and offices.

LED lighting has played a key role in upgrading the space, with the project successfully demonstrating the significant financial savings that can be made by replacing T5 fluorescent lighting with high-performing LED equivalents.

LED office lightingThe project utilised Dextra Lighting’s extensive LED range, which included LED recessed lighting in the form of the MODLED luminaire.

The MODLED is suitable for reception lighting, commercial applications, corridors and is an ideal LED office lighting solution. The MODLED can achieve the desired lighting effect but offers an added energy efficient and low maintenance alternative over traditional light sources.

Designed to offer a wide range of outputs and aesthetics, the popular LED panel light is suitable for plasterboard and suspended ceiling systems (lay in only). The MODLED can also be offered with emergency and dimming options.

With a light output ratio of up to 85% alongside an extended lifetime, MODLED panel lighting is a cost-effective and long-life luminaire. Available with an optional halo effect in a wide range of colours, the MODLED grants the ability to compliment the décor of any environment and offers a bespoke lighting solution.

The Hydra LED was also used within the refurbishment project. The luminaire is highly suitable for applications where protection from dirt and dust is essential, such as industrial settings. The Hydra LED grants the potential to reduce the cost of maintaining fluorescent light sources and can be used within environments with a temperature range from -20° to +25.

Hydra LEDA range of dimming variants are available with the Hydra LED, as well as integral three hour emergency features. It is also suitable for hard to reach areas, workshops, garages and utility areas, making it particularly useful to save money on costly and frequent lamp changes.

Severn Trent Water also utilised the Protec LED downlights within the refurbishment project.

Forming part of the popular Protec range, this luminaire boasts lumen outputs of up to 3000lm. This high performing luminaire is ideal for primary light sources in areas including retail environments, offices, meeting rooms, receptions and numerous environments within the education sector.

The product offers the potential to make energy cost savings when compared to fluorescent lighting equivalents, making it the perfect solution for companies who are committed to achieving energy reductions.

The sought-after DEXLED luminaire was also used within the refurbishment.

The luminaire is suitable for a wide range of commercial applications, such as receptions, meeting rooms and corridors, as well as retail environments. The long life features of the LED source significantly reduces the need for areas to be shut down while maintenance takes place.

Boasting superb energy efficiency, the DEXLED can be offered with a wide range of lumen outputs all of which offer superb energy efficiency. Using the latest Philips LEDs, the louvre can be produced in two, three or four cell variants, resulting in the DEXLED being offered in 600 x 600, 1200 x 600 and 1200 x 300 variants. The flexible features of this luminaire allow it to be offered with fully bespoke luminaire sizes.

The OEX LED surface mounted luminaire was a further LED lighting source which was used within the extensive project. A cost effective emergency LED lighting solution, the OEX LED is designed for either escape route lighting or exit route signage.

LED lighting solutionsThe robust luminaire is IP65 rated, making it highly suitable for environments like industrial and commercial settings requiring protection from external factors.

The use of Dextra Lighting’s extensive LED lighting range emphasises the significant savings that can be achieved by replacing T5 fluorescent lighting with LED alternatives.
